As a rule, Greeks eat late in the day, especially when it comes to dinner.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you are eating in the outdoors, it&amp;#x2019;s almost a guarantee that cats will come to beg for scraps of food.<\/li>\n<li>There will also be a selection of grilled food, most commonly grilled meats.<\/li>\n<li>As always, it&amp;#x2019;s best done if you go with a local who will introduce you to it all, but here is a good guide for doing it on your own as well!<\/li>\n<li>If you like garlic, you should also try the melitzanosalata, a dip made out of mashed grilled aubergines flavoured with garlic.<\/li>\n<li>As a rule, Greeks eat late in the day, especially when it comes to dinner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nicely cooked grilled meat, salads and souvlakia have a pleasant taste. Until today it offers delicious traditional dishes seven days a week. A nearby wine shop, maybe connected to the restaurant, served local Attic wine and many other wines imported from Chios, Mende, Corinth, Samos and Lesbos. Large amounts of cooking and eating utensils were found at the taverna like plates, mixing bowls, lidded casseroles, spits for broiling meat, mortars for chopping and grinding along with a cooking bell and many different jugs.<\/p>\n<p>Wherever you go in the country, you are bound to find dozens of these modest, no-frills eateries.
